When you sign in to GiveThanks with Google, we collect information associated with your Google sign-in, including your name, email address, profile image, email verification status, and authentication identifiers. GiveThanks uses Google OAuth for account creation and sign-in. GiveThanks does not support username/password account creation.

We may collect and store information you provide or generate while using the app, including your church, personal goal, group memberships, role, journal entries, reactions, daily activity, points, streaks, and interactions with app content.

GiveThanks includes group-based features. We may collect and store group names, group church information, posts, scripture, prayers, declarations, announcements, reactions, membership records, and administrator actions.

If you create journal entries, we collect the title, body, source post information, creation date, update date, and deletion status of those entries.

GiveThanks may request microphone access for speech transcription features. Audio may be processed to provide live transcription and practice features. Microphone access is only used when you choose to use voice-based features.

If you allow notifications, we collect and store push notification tokens and platform information so we can send app notifications, such as group updates or new content notifications.

We may collect session and security-related information, including session tokens, IP address, user agent, device or platform information, timestamps, and logs needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.

We keep account and app data for as long as needed to provide GiveThanks, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and operate backups. Deleted or removed data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period before being permanently removed.

You may request deletion of your GiveThanks account or app data at any time. Visit our Account and Data Deletion page for instructions.

When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize account information and app data associated with your account, including profile data, group membership data, journal entries, reactions, daily activity, points, streaks, and push notification tokens, unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, backup, or operational reasons.

GiveThanks is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it if appropriate.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections where supported. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information from unauthorized access, misuse, loss, and disclosure.
