This page explains how GiveThanks users can request deletion of their account or app data.
How to Request Account Deletion
To request deletion of your GiveThanks account, email us at:
delete-account@givethanks.worldPlease send the request from the same Google email address you use to sign in to GiveThanks.
Include the following information:
- Your full name
- The email address used for GiveThanks
- A clear statement that you want your GiveThanks account deleted

When your account deletion request is processed, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account, including:
- Your GiveThanks user profile
- Google sign-in account link stored by GiveThanks
- Session data
- Group membership records
- Journal entries
- Reactions
- Daily activity records
- Points and streak data
- Push notification tokens
- App data directly associated with your account
How to Request Deletion of Some App Data Without Deleting Your Account
You may also request deletion of certain app data without deleting your full account.

- Your full name
- The email address used for GiveThanks
- The specific data you want deleted, such as journal entries, activity data, group membership data, or notification tokens
Data We May Retain
Some information may be retained temporarily or as required for:
- Security and fraud prevention
- Legal compliance
- Dispute resolution
- Backup recovery
- Operational logs
- Records needed to protect the integrity of the service
Processing Time
We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days after receiving enough information to verify and complete the request.
